Title: It’s What’s Inside
MPA Rating: R

Runtime: 1 hr 43 mins
What It Is: Reuben (Devon Terrell) is getting married. Before the big day, he invites some friends from school—members of the wedding party—to a pre-wedding celebration. One of the guests, Forbes (David Thompson), brings along a new game and the equipment needed to play it. The game involves players swapping bodies, with the objective being to figure out who is who. However, as the game progresses, unresolved drama from their pasts resurfaces, creating tension. With bodies swapping and inhibitions lowered by the anonymity, chaos ensues.
What We Think: This is such a trip—and a pretty fun one at that. It works as an almost Gen Z version of Freaky Friday, but with a very different take than the aforementioned film. This bad boy has all the modern hallmarks: a twisted game of Clue with a resolution you’ll never see coming. That’s where the fun lies—everyone seems to be having an absolute blast.
Is it the sharpest, tightest script? No. Is there a dynamite performance in the bunch? Not really. But it’s similar to something like The Blackening, where the ensemble cast shines, and every spoke on the wheel contributes to the final result.
Our Grade: C+, Netflix releases these kinds of movies all the time, but this one stands out as a little different—and slightly better. Its wit and charm are in the right place, and with stronger writing, it could have been elevated even further. As it stands, this is a solid choice to throw on Netflix, and you won’t be disappointed. It’s the kind of film that sparks great discussions with friends after watching, which might just be its biggest strength. Overall, it’s far more competently made than Netflix’s usual fare.
