Runtime: 3 hrs 7 mins
What It Is: Oh boy. Sooo. When a young girl is stolen from a forest tribe they sent an assassin named Bheem (Rao Jr.) to recover the young girl. When word spreads that he’s in the Delhi village the scared members of the British army offer anyone who can capture this man a promotion if left alive and a bounty if dead. One officer, Rama Raju (Charan) takes this mission quite seriously. And he has a plan to figure out who this man is and how to capture him. All the while not realizing one glaring truth about a new friend he’s hanging out with.
What We Think: This is absolutely insane and spectacular. It’s over 3 hours long and in Hindi, and I was bored at no point. Chock full of action the film also has emotion, and friendship at its core. S.S. Rajamouli does a fantastic job of filming this and some of the sequences are absolutely breathtaking. I won’t spoil some of the spots but this is the best version of what the Fast and Furious films want to be. Sadly, they can’t live up to the cinematic mastery of Rise, Roar, Revolt…RRR for short.
Our Grade: A, I was tempted to put the plus on there but I’m going to avoid that for now. Perhaps after thinking about it I will. I am of the belief that everyone needs to check this film out. There are those that fear subtitles. Perhaps the runtime scares you off. Grow a pair. Grow up and watch one of 2022’s very best action films. There’s too much fun to be had here. It’s a must see and I cannot recommend it more highly.
