Title: The Kissing Booth
MPAA Rating: TV-14
Director: Vince Marcello
Starring: Joey King, Joel Courtney, Jacob Elordi
Runtime: 1 hr 52 mins
What It Is: And we’re back. It’s the senior year for our heroine Elle (King). She’s still dating heartthrob, and Harvard student Noah (Elordi). After the events of The Kissing Booth 2 Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez) is still in the picture…much to the chagrin of Noah. Meanwhile, the summer home that Noah and Lee’s (Courtney) mom Mrs. Flynn (Molly Ringwald) has owned for years is being sold. It’s time for one last summer of fun before college. But will the demons of past lovers haunt whatever future the couple has?
What We Think: Oh thank god this is the last one. Once again this is utter drivel. It tried really friggin’ hard to make me like it with the soundtrack. I mean they put The Western States Motel and Bright Eyes on there they were hustling to make me like this. Sadly I still utter despised it. It’s not JUST that it’s cliche. I can forgive the cliches. It’s that the acting across the board isn’t impressive the characters aren’t likable and the story itself is mayhem in the worst way.
Our Grade: F, The horror is over folks! We did it! We got through Netflix’s true trilogy of terror. Do not by any means watch this abomination to the cinema. I can’t imagine anyone outside of the age group of 12-17 might enjoy this. And those that do probably need an IQ test. I needed one after this film because I could feel my brain cells being lost. Netflix man. Do better! I know you can. You’ve done so before. Do not see this movie. Even with it being super easy to find the time lost in this can never be returned to you.
