Title: The Wrong Missy
MPAA Rating: TV-MA
Director: Tyler Spindel
Starring: David Spade, Lauren Lapkus, Nick Swardson
Runtime: 1 hr 30 mins

What It Is: After a disastrous date with Missy (Lapkus) Tim (Spade) isn’t sure that the dating market is for him. When he has a happy accident at the airport and meets Melissa (Molly Sims) aka Missy his mind might just be changed. When he goes to text her after their meet-cute…which goes very well he text the wrong girl. Instead of the smart and lovely Melissa, he’s sent a message to the trainwreck Missy. This isn’t going to go well.

What We Think: I will tell you this. It is a movie that happened. What a piece of garbage this one is. It is listed as a comedy on Netflix. Where? Where are the jokes? Where is the comedy? David Spade is playing his normal straight man archetypal character. Lauren Lapkus is utterly annoying and at points made me wanted to turn this trash off at times. Don’t get me wrong Lapkus is a really lovely woman but the script here makes her incomprehensibly despicable. It’s really difficult to get through this slog…and it’s only 90 minutes!

Our Grade: F, Skip this. Burn it. Do whatever you can and have to in order to avoid seeing this garbage fire of a film. Honestly, it’s almost as if Happy Madison are trying their best to screw with all the goodwill Adam Sandler built from Uncut GemsLet’s just stop putting David Spade and Nick Swardson in movies. They’re never in anything good. Lauren Lapkus deserves better and DESPITE IT ALL I still wanna see what she does next. I cannot offer a positive word to this and I certainly cannot recommend anyone actually see this damn thing. Dammit, Netflix you’re so inconsistent fix it!
