Title: To All the Boys 2: P.S. I Still Love You
MPAA Rating: TV-14
Director: Michael Fimognari
Starring: Lana Condor, Noah Centineo, Jordan Fisher
Runtime: 1 hr 41 mins

What It Is: When last we let Lara Jean (Condor) she was dating Peter (Centineo)…the boy of her dreams. Now we’re in it and Lara Jean is having to actually BE in the relationship. Plot twist one of her other letters has landed at it’s intended person. John Ambrose (Fisher), her childhood friend and first real crush. When the two of them end up working with one another at a retirement home old feelings truly die hard.

What We Think: In all honesty, the film is not as good as the original To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. While the soundtrack and Condor are still as charming as all hell the script just isn’t AS TIGHT. The entire cast is back and they’re still as interesting as before. I think not bringing back director Susan Johnson hurt the film overall. Not having that female touch. I think it would’ve helped. Noah Centineo is the king of these Netflix RomComs. He continues being fairly tolerable even if I don’t get the appeal.

Our Grade: B-, Man it’s such an easy watch. It never makes you feel bad or dumb even if it isn’t the pinnacle of cinema. Netflix can be a place where you can turn off your brain and just enjoy films. Things like Someone Great, aren’t super important films but they’ll waste a quick 90 minutes. Check this one out if you enjoyed any of the full caches of other options Netflix has offered us in recent times. Lana Condor is hopefully going to be a star. She just has this All-American appeal that works for her girl next doorish demeanor. I look forward to whatever she does next.
