Title: Boone the Bounty Hunter
MPAA Rating: Unrated
Director: Robert Kirbyson
Starring: John HenniganSpencer Grammer, Jonathan Lipnicki
Runtime: 1 hr 26 mins

What It Is: Boone (Hennigan) is a former soldier who is now a bounty hunter and has his own reality television show. In his show, he chases after C and D list celebrities who for some reason have a bounty that needs claiming. With his best mates Kat (Grammer) and Denny (Osric Chau). With their show on the verge of cancellation Boone uses his connections with the DEA. Using these contacts he finds out about a high price bounty on a snobby rich kid Ryan (Lipnicki). A real case that might just save his show.

What We Think: This movie is so much fun! It’s absolute nonsense. It has a throwback feel almost like a Van Damme flick. Hennigan, who is a professional wrestler puts his former WWE brethren in Marine 5: Battleground to shame. Where that film took itself a bit too serious this has its tongue firmly planted in its cheek. Seeing Hennigan do his own stunts was really cool and the blooper reel at the end showed just how much fun the cast had. That comes out within the film, easily.

Our Grade: C, You’d be hard pressed to find a more entertaining action film in 2017. There just seems to be something about the charm the film has that’ll leave you down for a sequel. Just so long as they keep “Rampage” Jackson out of it. Dude just isn’t very good. I recommend this film. Particularly for those fans of the 80’s action genre. This is a fitting throwback to those days. Hennigan may certainly have a future as an action star. Also, it was cool to know Lorenzo Lamas and Kevin Sorbo were both still alive!
