Title: The Lost City Of Z
MPAA Rating: PG-13
Director: James Gray
Starring: Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller
Runtime: 2 hr 21 mins
What It Is: The Lost City Of Z is a drama/adventure film based on the true events of Col. Percival Fawcett (Hunnam), who is an explorer and believes in ancient civilizations and sets out to find The Lost City of Z. He brings a small team which consists of Henry Costin (Pattinson), and some other explorers that tag along. He faces struggles along the way and is determined to make peace with the civilizations.

What We Think: This isn’t a bad movie but does have its fair share of flaws. Saying that the film suffers from its slow pace throughout, underdeveloped and useless characters, and its hefty run-time. Now this movie isn’t all that bad, it has it moments that shine like Charlie Hunnam, who looks and feels good in the role and brings one of his best performances of his career. Robert Pattinson was a prominent character and did a good job acting, but just didn’t feel needed and he really didn’t do much. Tom Holland was in the film for the last hour or so and did a good job felt underused, he also didn’t do a lot and I thought he was in the film more. Nonetheless, he did a good job.

Our Grade: B, The movie was quite boring when they weren’t in the jungle or fighting the war. it slowed down and went to a heavy drama instead of an adventure film. now saying that I loved the jungle scenes. they were suspense filled and had me at the edge of my seat for the most time. This film really isn’t for everyone. if were wanting a fast paced, suspense filled movie, this isn’t for you. if you are looking at more of a serious and slow movie, this is more for you. I certainly enjoyed despite its flaws. either way in the end id recommends to most everyone.
