Title: John Wick: Chapter 2
MPAA Rating: R
Director: Chad Stahelski
Starring: Keanu Reeves, Common, Ruby Rose
Runtime: 2 hrs 2 mins

What It Is: Just when he was out they pulled him back in. John Wick (Reeves) gets himself into trouble when he has to pay a debt to Santino D’Antonio (Riccardo Scamarcio) this leads him to kill his very powerful sister, at his request. After doing the job Santino puts a hit out on Wick. Anyone who’s seen the first one knows this is not a good thing. Now a marked man John Wick is going to find Santino no matter what needs to be done or who needs to be killed.

What We Think: This movie is dope! Much like the first one Reeves is literally and figuratively killing it with this film. His faceoffs with Common, Ruby Rose and all the lackeys they bring with them are awesome. There’s a TON of hand to hand combat and all of it is crisply shot and clearly visible. Stahelski continues to know what he’s doing with this franchise. I could give you all the plot details but 100% it would not matter nor affect your enjoyment of this film because that’s not really what this thing is about. Shout out to Ruby Rose for not sucking in this…probably because she’s mute. Regardless she does good work in her limited role, unlikely her role in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage which was terrible.

Our Grade: A-, I can haz another? I freaking love this series! Keanu Reeves is pitch perfect as John Wick and what he does here. I liked the additional emphasis on The Continental as important in this world. It’s such a cool concept. Obviously, I am going to recommend you check this film out like immediately and if you haven’t seen the first John Wick do it now!
