Title: Hitman: Agent 47
MPAA Rating: R
Director: Aleksander Bach
Starring: Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware
Runtime: 1 hr 48 mins

What It Is: When it appears a mysterious man is coming after Katia (Ware) what his intentions are no one knows. When a shadow organization tries to protect Katia it becomes apparent that perhaps the roles that each should be playing are not what they seem. Agent 47 (Friend) is trying to make Katia realize something about her current protector John Smith (Quinto) and his intentions. Who can she trust? What do Smith or 47 want with her? What is this giant secret about Katia that none of us realize?

What We Think: This movie is abhorrent. There are no real redeeming qualities to this film. Not only does this atrocity not offer anything in the way of excitement, but it does the one thing you don’t want action films to do. The action is stagnant and unoriginal. There is MAYBE one shot in the film when Agent 47 is taking out some bad guys and he does this slo-mo kip up thingy and then in mid-kip up he fires off some shots. That of all the things in this mess was my take away

Our Grade: F, Ugh, I really really did not like this film. I cannot recommend this film to anyone of at least average intelligence. Unless you’re a mindless caveman there’s no enjoyment to be found here. Sometimes you watch a film and it truly doesn’t make any sense, offer anything to the genre or do anything original. If you’re looking for a film like that go on ahead and check out Hitman: Agent 47 it does all of those things. If you’re looking for good writing, sharp interesting filmmaking…well you are definitely in the wrong place if this is in your Blu-Ray player.
