Title: Dragonball Z: Resurrection ‘F’
MPAA Rating: Not Rated
Director: Tadayoshi Yamamuro

What It Is: After the events of last years Dragonball Z: Battle of the Gods Goku and Vegeta are now training extensively on an isolated planet with Lord Beerus’ assistant Whis. Simultaneously a rogue Frieza Force member named Sorbet has made it to Earth in order to capture the seven Dragonballs and resurrect the evil Lord Frieza. When Sorbet is successful Earth might just be in trouble, because Frieza is out for revenge on the man who bested him Goku.
What We Think: This film is a lot of fun. It exemplifies the very core of Dragonball Z. It’s an action fest, but it’s an enthralling one that has you amped up from the jump. It tries to fill in some of the gaps in between the last film and thats good because it really give us a sense of where these characters are. There are some interesting new additions to the DBZ lore, in particular some power level and form changes with some of the characters. This is also an incredibly funny film, there’s some parts that’ll have you laughing in the traditional anime manner.
Our Grade: B+, Same grade because the films are very similar both in substance and especially in style. It’s Dragonball Z so there’s a bit of biased coming from me in that I enjoy the hell out of anything these characters do. As I also stated last year it’s through the characters that we enjoy this anime so much. I’m going to go ahead and recommend this, but once again if you weren’t a fan before you might just get lost in the lore of it all. If anything start with Battle of the Gods and then watch this one.
