Title: Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation
MPAA Rating: PG-13
Director: Chris McQuarrie
Starring: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Ferguson

What It Is: Ethan Hunt (Cruise) is back in the fifth installment of the series based on the 1960’s television show. In this sequel he must try to find the secret organization known as “The Syndicate”. However, Hunt’s tactics have placed the IMF (Impossible Mission Force) under CIA scrutiny. In fact they’ve officially been disbanded. Now Hunt will try to prove the networks existence while also trying to clear his name, and save the world from the terror that no one can see!
What We Think: This is a fantastic film! Not only is an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride, but it does so while building it’s characters, this is something most action flicks completely forget to do. Not only that but there were times when I legitimately thought I’d lost my breath. I mean right off the bat your presented with a heart stopping scenario. Alright, it’s the plane scene from the damn poster, but I digress the entire time your hanging off the edge of your seat wondering how this guy is still alive. Rebecca Ferguson is great here as the ass-kicking disavowed MI6 agent Ilsa Faust. Let’s talk about Simon Pegg though. This dude is hilarious and awesome! Here though he shows he is built to be in the Impossible Mission Force.
Our Grade: A, This is seriously one of the most entertaining films of the year. Mr. Cruise is an action star even still at 53 years old! I can’t wait for the next one, and knowing that perhaps maybe I’ll get to hangout with these people again is exactly what I want. Kudos to the writers here for giving us what could be the best villain in the franchise, and credit to actor Sean Harris for bringing him to life. I’m going to recommend you see this immediately in whatever theaters is closest to you right now!
