Title: Fast & Furious 7
MPAA Rating: PG-13
Director: James Wan
Starring: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez
Runtime: 2 hrs 20 mins

What It Is: In the seventh installment of the fast cars series our heros are facing a new challenge. When the brother (played by Jason Statham) of the last films villain seeks revenge on Dominic (Diesel) and his band of merry men (and women). First he head after Hobbs (The Rock) whom he hospitalizes. That is when the post credit scene in Furious 6 happens and Han is murdered. Now the crew must find the elder Shaw and take him out before he does the same to him. Now the whole gang is back together and must go through one last ride to  make sure they don’t lose another person to the Shaws.

What We Think: Let’s get this out of the way right now. This being Paul Walker’s send off could not have been more fitting, or more perfect. Not only is the films finale heartbreaking, but it leaves nothing to chance with his Brian character. It is perfect closure. As for the film around it…well it’s a thrill ride. It’s outrageousness defined. There are some stunts here that defy all laws of physics. Which depending on your tastes can be either off-putting or a draw.

Our Grade: B-, A thin plot would’nt have hurt this film, but frankly there was a bit too much. So much stuff going on and the exclusion of my favorite character (Hobbs) for a duration of the film negatively effect this entry. However it purely enjoyable and is a fun time at the movies, and frankly sometimes that is all you want. Definitely check it out if you’re a fan of the series as this just might be it’s best entry. Having said that catch it soon because it doesn’t have much longer left in theaters.
