“Frozen”, Breaking The Ice

Take a gander at your Facebook feed, within the last week and you may have seen a few things.
Someone is disappointed with their significant other; got a new job; broke up with their boyfriend; and simply, someone had a burrito at Chipotle, and it was “amazing”.
But more than anything, within the past week, it’s been all about “Frozen”.
The Disney animated hit, starring Kristin Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff, was released to theaters on November 27, 2013.
The budget: $150 million.
The take: $1.07 billion (worldwide)
Safe to say that “Frozen” is like butter…it’s on a roll.
And there are no signs of it stopping anytime soon. The film that spawned countless covers of it’s hit song, “Let It Go” just recently beat out the Disney classic, “The Lion King”, making it the highest grossing animated film of all time. Of all time.
This may leave a bad taste in the mouth of some twenty-somethings, who grew up with the Disney classic. Or we may simply feel like we’ve been run over by a pack of wildebeest.
Regardless, the feeling doesn’t last long, as most of those that grew up with Pride Rock in their veins, have gained a mutual love for the “Frozen” flick.
Safe to say, “Frozen” has turned into a Disney classic…fast.
