Title: Frozen 2
Rating: PG
Director: Jennifer Lee, Chris Buck
Starring: Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad
Runtime: 1 hr 43 mins

What Is It: Elsa the Snow Queen has an extraordinary gift — the power to create ice and snow. But no matter how happy she is to be surrounded by the people of Arendelle, Elsa finds herself strangely unsettled. After hearing a mysterious voice call out to her, Elsa travels to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond her kingdom — an adventure that soon turns into a journey of self-discovery.

What We Think: Absolutely AMAZING! For those that felt the first Frozen film was a bit too slow in pacing and may have gotten tired of the songs that become immensely popular and played repetitively amongst other things, they will definitely appreciate this sequel. This film was an improvement in many ways. For one thing, the pacing is much better and from what I saw, the movie didn’t seem to get too slow at all, the characters were far more developed as was the relationship between the characters. Some of the songs were better than the ones from the first film however certain songs were about as good as the songs in the original, and the story was well thought out! If all that is not enough to want to see this film, the animation will be. The animation in this was OUTSTANDING and the colors used worked VERY well in conjunction with the story and theme of this film. My only complaint is that during the musical numbers, it was sometimes difficult to hear the singing and words being sung since the melody seemed to overpower the singing during certain parts of the song. Other than this small issue, I thought this movie was extremely well done!

Our Grade: A, This film is a treat for anyone who is a fan of the original or just wants a family-friendly movie to take their kids too. The songs are catchy, the animation will absolutely blow you away and the characters are just as lovable as they were the first time around. I would highly recommend this film to anyone!
