Title: Fractured
MPAA Rating: TV-MA
Director: Brad Anderson
Starring: Sam Worthington, Lily Rabe, Lucy Capri
Runtime: 1 hr 39 mins

What It Is: Following a Thanksgiving dinner with his family Ray Monroe (Worthington) stops at a gas station to re-up on supplies before he and his wife and daughter head home. Disaster strikes as his daughter Peri (Capri) fall from a sidewalk into a construction zone. When he takes her to the hospital some tests need to be performed but Peri and her mother Joanne (Rabe) don’t return for several hours. Now Ray is highly concerned…but no one at the hospital knows where they went or has seen them at all.

What We Think: This film is highly disappointing. There’s just never a time during the film where you’re interested in what’s going on because throughout the movie all your thinking about is how predictable it is. Predictability wouldn’t seem like such a death knell if it weren’t for the fact that the twist is absolute garbage. The tension that should be there for something like this just isn’t there. Likewise, there are clues strewn throughout this that will give the whole film away if you’re paying attention. You won’t need those though.

Our Grade: D+, This isn’t even mediocre it’s Netflix film level mediocre. Sam Worthington is a terrible actor. He’s never really convinced in anything. Even in something like Cake that gave us a good Jennifer Aniston performance couldn’t bring him up with it. Skip this one. It’s literally in your living room on your television right now and I’m still telling you DO NOT waste your time and energy on it. THAT’S the level of incomprehensible stupidity this one reaches. I was sat right near little Lucy Capri at the festival and honestly, she’s adorable in her part. Lily Rabe…well she couldn’t elevate the material even though I think she’s incredibly talented as an actress. This is just bad and dumb.
